This is my arrangement for a single guitar -
i know the whole song is much better with the whole band,
but if you're on your own...
But this is the exact version of what Ian Anderson plays on album.
I play this piece with plectrum, so that it sounds louder.

The main problem with this song is encountered in two spots.
The first one is in the second part of the intro:
when you play this catchy theme right after the Em chord on the seventh fret,
you have to let ring E or/and B strings,
to left the background for this solo as long as possible -
which is quite difficult.
The second thing is in the same part - the difference between:

B|---7h8-7---- and B|---8p7-7---
G|---------7-- G|---------7-

MUST be heard, but without accenting any of these
(as my fingers are as thick as a brick, I've spent hours practising this one).
The verse and chorus chords are quite easy to locate,
but try not to use simple strumming, rather than quick picking -
which is harder, but makes the whole song ring better (maybe exept chorus).
