The other day I stumbled upon what seems to be an easier way to
play
SALAMANDER. It's not quite open tuning, but at least you
don't have to do
that F-C-F-C-F-C thing. I'm not going to go crazy with the
details, but
this
is what I came up with. Listen to the record for the rhythm.
Drop the low
E
string down to D, and then capo at the 3rd(?) fret.
Opens kinda like this, with finger-picking...
